Cold Eye is a paid analysis service for working screenwriters. You upload a feature screenplay PDF; we deliver page-anchored revision notes as a markdown file and a rendered PDF. We are not a representation, marketing, or production service. We do not optionally hold rights, sell, or shop your screenplay.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the law of your jurisdiction. You must use Cold Eye in compliance with all applicable laws.
When you upload a screenplay, you warrant to Cold Eye that:
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Cold Eye and its operators from any third-party claim arising from your submission, including reasonable attorneys' fees. This indemnification survives termination of these terms.
Each paid order produces one revision report — a markdown file and a rendered PDF — covering nine fixed sections (Starting Points, Quick Read, Top 5 Revision Priorities, Structural Walk, Character Notes, Dialogue Notes, Scene Diagnostics, Reader Experience, Rewrite Plan). Cold Eye does not produce verdicts, grades, or "consider/pass" recommendations. The report is the entire deliverable.
The report is generated using language models tuned to a strict, locked output format. Output may vary in tone or emphasis between runs even on the same script.
Current pricing is shown on our home page and on the upload form before submission. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. By submitting an order you authorize the displayed charge.
If a Cold Eye report fails to meet the format contract (the nine sections, page-anchored content, no banned phrases) we will reissue or refund. Beyond that, refund requests are handled case-by-case — email us within 14 days of delivery and explain what fell short. We read every reply.
You own the report we produce for you. You may use it however you like — share it with your collaborators, paste it into your tracking sheet, post it publicly. We retain no rights in the report's content. The Cold Eye visual design and software remain ours.
We use your uploaded screenplay only to generate your report. We do not train models on your script. We do not share, sell, or resell it. Storage and retention details are in the Privacy Policy.
Cold Eye is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that any specific report will be delivered within a specific time, or that the analysis will identify every issue in your script. We will refund any order we cannot deliver.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cold Eye's aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
We may suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms. You may stop using Cold Eye at any time.
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes affecting your existing orders will be communicated by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the service will be resolved in the courts located in British Columbia. Nothing in these terms is intended to displace any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your home jurisdiction.
